| Samsung Floor Cleaners VC-RS60 and VC-RS60H |
Samsung Electronics announced two new robot vacuum cleaners: the VC-RS60 and VC-RS60H.
The VC-RS60 and VC-RS60H may look like little boom boxes to bring tunes to the beach, but these robots from Samsung are actually AI-powered cleaning machines, ready to suck up all the dust and dirt gracing floors. The two bots clean floors automatically; they even use UV lights to see debris that may be invisible to the human eye. They have bump-detection technology, so they can work around walls, chairs, and other obstacles. Reportedly the Samsung bots will charge themselves and allow for manual override via remote control. The robots have a cleaning speed of 0.4m/second. Like other vacuum cleaners of its kind, these Samsung devices will turn around when they hit a stairway or some other obstacle. The robots are designed by Zairo, recharge themselves once the remaining battery capacity drops below 20% and you can even give the robot a call and order it to vacuum place without user presence: both the Samsung robots has voice recognition features, so that you can call your home and order the robots what to do.
The VC-RS60 is available in Korea for 890,000 KRW (USD 945) and VC-RS60H for 990,000 KRW (USD 1050). |
