1a Classe Alviero Martini is one of Italy's leading brands of leather goods, accessories and women's clothing, and one of the most important representatives of Italian Style around the world. Inspired by the era of legendary voyages, explorations and the Belle Époque, today 1a Classe Alviero Martini has a strong, clear identity: the fabulous map designed by Alviero Martini in the mid 80's. A creative hallmark that evokes the romantic, legendary world of travel. An original design, inspired by the world of maps and cartography, specially created by the designer for his collections. An international symbol that expresses exclusive style all around the world.
In 1995 1a Classe Alviero Martini opened its first flagship store in via Montenapoleone, in the heart of Milan's fashion district.
At the same time many partnerships were established with licensees following the style of 1a Classe Alviero Martini and distributing the collections of watches, glasses, stationery, silk scarves and vanity cases.
Meanwhile the brand and the Geo Map design became stronger and increasingly recognizable among clients and the distribution network.
In 1998 1a Classe Alviero Martini, capitalizing on its powerful brand asset, presented its first fashion collection at Milano Collezioni.
In 1999 the company Final S.p.A. joined as a financial partner with a sizeable minority share.
In 2003, as the luxury goods market went into recession, Final acquired a greater stake in the company, becoming the main shareholder, and Luisa Angelini was appointed President of Alviero Martini S.p.A.
Conducted by the Managing Director Antonella Memo the company restores the budget and starts a strong expansion. At the end of 2007 the company has acquired Sissirossi, a leather goods company unanimously acknowledged for excellent craftsmanship and creativity.
In 2007 the company inaugurated both the new 5000 square-metered headquarters situated in Milan's Navigli and the flagship store in Verri Street, in fashion's quadrilateral. Today the ranges of leather goods and footwear are directly manufactured and distributed by Alviero Martini S.p.A. |
