Shearling and Lapin fur coats keep a girl warm as she moves around the wide open spaces of the remote northern lands. Metal and stone inserts glint spectacularly against the ice, giving the coats extra sweep and an airy feel. The tribal vibes are ultra feminine.
Fur coats are reworked technologically to include prints on skins, puffa jackets and silk dresses creating a contemporary, city style.
Contrasting with the big coats are the flowing chiffon dresses; smart and sexy velvet ones with Lurex inserts creating stylish decorations and a glow of seduction like an exotic incense.
Jersey dresses in jacquard and brocade are combined with Lurex like before. More and more cultural influences criss cross as the journey continues. Fur or long-hair kidassia gilets to be worn with tribal jewelry in a grunge dance around bewitching bonfires as the sun goes down.
Patrizia Pepe works her nomad glamour around the crackling fire with boucle' or long-haired jackets, or in alpaca wool, pure new wool, cashmere and mohair. All team perfectly with scarves and keffiyehs. Bags and straps feature course ropes, metal details, oxidized medals, feathers and leather tails echoing the hypnotic drum beats.
High-waisted sashes glitter with jewel buckles. Grey, pink, green, blue, black and mustard combine in a natural colour palette sprinkled with red, green and camel flashes across the clothes. Coats are wool with clean, minimal lines.
Patrizia Pepe classics are reworked in an original fusion of grays and beige. The combination of fabrics create a collection of clothes of complex construction and dual purpose: long shirts and tops turn into dresses that are perfect by day or by night. Tricot fabric features alongside satin and silk georgette, trimmed and worked to create smart clothes with a draped feel.
Antique-effect stones set in mini jackets bring some glamour to the evening. Killer heels put the definitive city stamp on the collection.
Accessories are unfailingly cult. Crystal, resin-treated butterflies and flies which were a must for the previous season have been re-worked with new glitter effects and autumn colors like precious fossils uncovered in the amber.
Denim plays an ever more important role, both as a material and in the attention to fine tailoring, finishes and washes.
This Fall Winter 2011 2012 Women's Collection has a truly nomad heart where travelling is synonymous with exploration and pursuit of a new luxury language.
The location chosen to represent the luxury and radiant splendor of the collection was the Mayfair Hotel, one of the most famous and exclusive venues in London. The face of the advertising campaign shot by Mert & Marcus is the amazing Lithuanian top model Edita Vilkeviciute. |
