The Super Bowl in corsetry
The Lingerie Bowl debut as a pay-per-view show that aired live during the halftime of Super Bowl 38. It featured scantily clothed female models playing tackle American football. The American automobile manufacturer Dodge that withdrew due to criticism originally sponsored it. The players in the game wore short shorts, a sports bra and some protective gear. The presentation was produced by Horizon Productions and was not affiliated with the NFL. The names of the two teams were Team Dream, coached by Lawrence Taylor; and Team Euphoria, coached by Eric Dickerson.
